How to manufacture ground screw piles？

If you run a galvanizing plant, a spiral ground pile installation company or a pipe manufacturing factory and plan to expand your business into spiral ground pile production but have no idea where to start, this article will walk you through the entire manufacturing process in detail.

The following picture shows complete process from cutting to final products package:

1.Cutting:Typically, you need to purchase raw steel pipes that meet your production requirements from pipe manufacturers. The mainstream diameters of spiral ground piles are 89mm, 114mm and 140mm. They are made of Q235B steel with a wall thickness of 3mm. However, the actual specifications shall be subject to customers’ drawings and requirements. Once the pipes are ready, use a pipe cutting machine to cut them to the required lengths. You may choose conventional circular saw cutting (low efficiency) or laser cutting (ideal for mass production)

2.Heating：Before tapering process，you need to heat the pipe so that its easy to taper，usually a Induction Heating Machine is needed.

3.Swaging/Pointing:After heating the pipes，you need a swaging machine to taper the end of the pipe,in this process,you can choose manual/semi-automatic/fully automatic feeding

4.Drilling:When swaging is finished,you need to drill hole in the end of the pipes so that for zink leakage

5.Flange Welding:After finished process1,2,3,4,you need to welding flange in the end of the pipes,what is flange used for?The flange welded on ground screw piles connects the pile to the upper support structure. It makes installation easier and ensures a firm, stable connection.

6.Spiral Blade Welding:Put the steel strip on the welding machine and firm the strip,spot welding to connect the strip with the pipes,then the machine start rotation and welding.

7.Hot Dip Galvanized：After the ground screw piles are fully processed, they will be sent to a professional galvanizing plant for galvanization. The thickness of the galvanized coating varies according to different service environments and soil conditions.

8.Review and Package:After inspection with professional equipment and passing all tests, the galvanized ground screw piles will be packed and delivered.
